Submissions
The UMKC Law Review Editorial Board encourages the submission of articles on a wide range of both scholarly and practical legal topics for publication in the Law Review.
Articles may be submitted by one of three ways:

GENERAL FORM
Articles must be typed and single-sided. They must be double-spaced, with one inch margins. Once an offer of publication has been extended by the Law Review and accepted by the author, the author will be required to provide an electronic copy of the article.
CITATION
The UMKC Law Review uses footnotes for citation. All footnotes should conform to A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed.), also known as the Bluebook. The Bluebook is distributed by the Harvard Law Review Association, Gannett House, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02138.
ILLUSTRATIONS
All illustrations, graphs, tables and charts must be numbered and given suitable legends. Authors must indicate in the article the appropriate portions of such graphics. Authors will be expected to provide either a suitable electronic graphics file or a camera-ready copy for each graphic.
SELECTION AND EDITING TIMETABLE
Authors will be notified of publication decisions as timely as possible, depending on the length of the article. Accepted articles will be published as quickly as possible, depending on the need for author assistance in the editorial process.
PROOF PAGES AND AUTHOR
Authors will have an opportunity to view one set of proof pages prior to publication. Proof pages will reflect textual and technical revisions made throughout the editorial process. Prior to sending the issue to print, the Managing Editor assigned to the article will contact the author concerning reprint orders.
